World Changing Centre (WCC) was founded by Bernice Langley, a British citizen and healthcare professional in 2007 when she was struck by the great need and abject poverty in Calabatown, Sierra Leone, where she was born and raised, the organization subsequently gained the charitable status in 2010. Bernice started the organization by interviewing over 2000 families in Sierra Leone with the help of a team of university graduates, so as to identify the main needs within the community, primarily clean water, healthcare & sanitation facilities and invested her own personal funds and that of a few friends for the purpose. Thus, leading to educational, sanitary and infrastructure projects to improve the living conditions of the people of Sierra Leone. WCC’s will work to build a community ethos based on open collaboration and teamwork. WCC will improve the quality of life of young people by improving health and sanitation facilities, and providing various educational opportunities to advance their economic prospects.
